Privacy Policy

The following describes APTIV TECHNOLOGY PARTNERS’ privacy policy guidelines regarding the collection and use of personal or corporate information that is provided to us.

This privacy policy was last updated on and is effective October 5, 2007. APTIV TECHNOLOGY PARTNERS, LLC (APTIV) requests site visitors check this Privacy Policy periodically as it may have changed. The new provisions will be effective as soon as they are posted.

Information Gathered and How It Is Used

APTIV collects information from users of its Web site, potential clients, prospective employees and alliance relationships to name a few. This information includes details that have been provided to us through use of the site.

APTIV may retain this information and the information that has been provided to us for our internal review, business development, research and marketing. This information will be stored for the minimal amount of time necessary.

We may also use this information to solicit e-mail for business development, research, marketing or promotional purposes or press inquiries. It is our practice to provide visitors with an opportunity to opt in for e-mail communications and remove themselves from this distribution list by sending us an e-mail to remove. We store this information in our database and do not plan to share it with third parties, except as described in this policy. If we ever need to share this information with other third parties, we will notify visitors individually. At any time, visitors can remove their name and related information from our database, and we will provide them with a choice to opt-out if they don't want their information used for any purpose or a particular purpose. Visitors can review and update their information by contacting us via e-mail.

Web Server Cookies

APTIV uses "Cookies" in order to personalize and enhance users’ visits to our Web site. A cookie is a message given to a Web browser by a Web server, which is then stored by the browser in a text file. Each time the browser requests a page from the server this message is sent back to the server and enables the user to be identified.

We may use the information provided by cookies to analyze trends, administer the site, or for research and marketing purposes to help us better serve our clients. No information which personally identifies site visitors will be collected through the cookies. Visitors can set their browsers to block and/or notify themselves of a cookie’s presence – thereby accepting or declining a cookie. No personally identifying information from site visitors will be collected.

The APTIV Web site contains links to other Web sites belonging to alliance partners, clients, and other sites of interest to our users. APTIV does not control the privacy practices of these other sites. Should users depart APTIV’s site, it is recommended they read all relevant privacy policies.

Security

APTIV protects your personal information with several security measures. In addition to normal precautions such as physical security and firewalls, we have strict internal security policies.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

APTIV does not provide information about site visitors, except as set forth herein:

We may provide the information collected as stated herein to our business partners, which are under nondisclosure agreements with us not to disclose the information to anyone else, in order to assist us in growing our business with respect to similar products and services. If site visitors do not want their information shared in this manner they will have a chance to opt out prior to collection. Some of these business partners are located in the United States and others may be located in countries throughout the world.

APTIV will provide the information collected in the event we are required to provide such information by a court, administrative or governmental order or subpoena or other legal process.

If we believe it is necessary to share site visitor information in order to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, violations of APTIV's terms of use or as otherwise required by law, we will provide the information collected.

In the event of a corporate reorganization, either by an operation of law, merger or purchase of assets, your information may be subject to a different privacy policy which we will make available on our Web site.

SPECIAL NOTICE TO CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS

As a California resident, you have certain rights under state law that relate to the sharing of your personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. APTIV has chosen to comply with California law SB 27 in the following way:

First, individual customers who reside in California and have provided their personal information to APTIV may request (no more than once per calendar year) information about our disclosures of certain categories of personal information to our third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please send an e-mail to legal@aptivtech.com and provide us with your name, address and e-mail address. Within thirty days of receiving such a request, APTIV will provide a list of the categories of personal information disclosed to our third parties for their direct marketing purposes during the immediately preceding calendar year, along with their names and addresses.
